Choosing a retirement community is a significant decision, so it is imperative to stay informed. There are differences between for profit organizations and non-profit organizations. At Bethany Life, we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All money earned above operating cost is reinvested back into our programs and facilities. We do what we do as a service to our residents, not to respond to the wants and needs of investors and owners. At Bethany Life, you will also see:
Higher staffing levels than most for-profit facilities.
A commitment to serving our residents, regardless of financial status.
A dedication to investing in our programs and facilities.
While we desire to act as good stewards of the money that we are given, we are also dedicated to making the tools to be successful readily available to our staff and residents. Our top priority is that our dollars are poured directly back into our residents.
Our Mission
It is the mission of the Bethany Life Foundation to inspire, empower and support Bethany Life in its role and responsibility as the regionally recognized leader of aging services.
“With the major renovations to improve the Bethany facilities and care programs, we are blessed that we could make a significant contribution. The bistro is a nice addition to the Bethany facilities and services.” – Tom and Stevie Walsh, Ames, IA
Bethany Life has been a staple in the aging community for over 110 years in Story County. We have been honored to care for your loved ones and hope to keep living our mission of caring for others with a Christian focus of hope, wellness, and compassion for 110 more years to come. Our building is aging and we need your help to fund the necessary repairs for our air handler and leaking roof. With our community’s support we need to raise 800,000 dollars for the urgently required repairs. If we had 550 supporters give one hundred dollars once a month for a year, we would be able to fully fund a new roof and air handler. Thank you for considering Bethany Life for your support.
